  • Spain. Delivered to our supplier in Dundee via land and delivered to us in Cornwall via land.

  • We decided to source organic almonds from Spain after reading about how water and pesticide intensive growing almonds can be.

The pesticides used on almond trees pose a risk to the bees that pollinate them. In 2018-19 over 50 billion bees were wiped out in the almond industry. Choosing organic means no harmful chemicals are used to grow our almonds.

It takes over 3 litres of water to grow a single almond and almond trees must be watered year round. Most almonds are grown in California where climate change has already led to almost permanent drought in the area. By choosing Spanish almonds we’re buying from an area that is less affected by drought and also from smaller scale farms.

Remember almonds are still resources heavy so treat them as a treat!
